Engineered, Tested and Proven: An Inside Look at Dantherm Cooling’s On-Site Lab

Here at Dantherm Cooling Inc., quality is not an afterthought–it is engineered and designed into every unit we build. Since 1998, our facility has had on-site testing capabilities, and in 2005 we became a continuous member of UL’s Client Test Data Program (CTDP). This recognition reinforces our commitment to product quality, reliability and safety. By locating our on-site UL certified testing lab right next to our factory floor, we can ensure the safest and most reliable mission-critical products get manufactured. Here’s how our lab ensures every cooling solution is ready to perform in even the harshest conditions.

Inside Dantherm’s UL Lab: Testing Every Unit for Reliability in Extreme Conditions

Before any Dantherm Cooling unit can be released for sale and production, it undergoes a rigorous in-house series of tests. As part of our commitment to product safety, quality and reliability, our engineering teams conduct their evaluations to exceed the UL, Telcordia GR and ASHRAE standards, giving our customers confidence that their unit is safe and ready to be deployed. Reliability is not left to chance. Every system is built, tested and certified to deliver consistent performance and safety from day one.

Environmental Testing Capabilities

Dantherm equipment is designed to thrive in harsh environments with mission-critical reliability, where other systems might fail. The environmental test chambers are equipped to simulate the entire temperature change of conditions a unit may experience in the field during the product testing. Our environmental chambers can recreate outside conditions with ambient temperatures from -50℉ to 131℉ and internal unit temperatures from 32℉ to 131℉. This allows us to ensure both performance, as well as reliability to our published performance specifications in the very climates where our systems are deployed.

Rain and Water Resistance: Simulating the Elements

Weather events are unavoidable in mission-critical applications, which makes water resistance a key product design requirement. Our on-site engineering lab has rain testing capabilities, including the NEMA 4 Hose Down testing, that simulates direct, high-pressure water sprays. Our units undergo rain simulation tests to confirm that no water intrusion or performance degradation occurs in demanding weather conditions. This in-house capability allows us to verify compliance with industry standards and deliver proven reliability when it matters most. This ensures our units will perform when most needed, during natural disasters like hurricanes and tropical storms.

In-line Testing: During Production and Full Function Testing

While we certify our units in-house for UL, Telecordia GR and ASHRAE standards to ensure our designs meet the requirements, our dedication to quality and reliability extends from design into all stages of our daily manufacturing processes. 100% of our units go through six to seven quality tests during production to verify compliance with all established requirements. Production will power on every single unit and perform a full functional test that each unit must pass before it can be packaged and shipped to the customer. The combination of in-line and full functional testing at Dantherm Cooling serves as a fundamental advantage that establishes customer trust in our ability to deliver reliable mission-critical performance.

Because our facility maintains complete control over testing, certifications, in-house simulations of real-world conditions, and 100% functional testing after production, we guarantee every unit meets the highest standards before it leaves our doors. When performance matters most, your applications deserve a proven and tested product you can depend on.
